Importance of gas detection in industrial places

Gas detector, as the name implies, is an instrument for detecting gas leakage concentration, which mainly includes portable gas detector, fixed gas detector and gas programmable safety control system. Its working principle is to use gas sensors to detect the kinds of gases existing in the environment. It is generally believed that the definition of gas sensor is based on the classification of detection target, that is, any sensor used to detect gas composition and concentration is called gas sensor.

General detection types are divided into the following categories:

① Leak detection: the leakage of toxic and harmful gas or liquid (steam) in the equipment pipeline is detected and alarmed, and the equipment pipeline is operated to detect the leakage.

② Overhaul detection: It is more important to detect residual toxic and harmful gas or liquid (steam) after equipment overhaul and replacement, especially before hot work.

(3) Emergency detection: In case of abnormal situation or accident treatment at the production site, toxic and harmful gas or liquid (steam) shall be detected for safety and hygiene.

④ Entry detection: When workers enter the toxic and hazardous substances isolation operation room and enter the ditch mat, cable trench or equipment inside the limited space for operation, they should carry out early detection and carry-on work detection.

⑤ Patrol inspection: toxic and harmful gases should be detected during safety inspection. Dangerous chemicals should strengthen safety production management, improve safety measures and control hidden dangers of accidents. However, it is impossible to achieve absolute security, and there will still be a foolproof situation. Therefore, it is very necessary to detect and alarm the hidden dangers of accidents, and it is of great significance to avoid and control accidents by detecting and alarming toxic and harmful gases or liquids (vapors) in dangerous chemicals places.

To ensure production safety, the main preventive measures are to strengthen sealing and ventilation, strictly enforce safety operation regulations, strengthen publicity and education, popularize first aid and prevention knowledge, and do a good job in health monitoring before work and regular physical examination. If equipment maintenance and inspection and monitoring can be carried out regularly in the production process, this danger can be found early and controlled to a minimum.

Gas detection plays a very important role in the production of industrial enterprises, which is the key to prevent accidents and ensure the smooth production safety of enterprises, and is the guarantee for the safety of production personnel and surrounding people.
